Disclosre of terms @ condition by employer

many retired bank officers inclding myself were appointed by a nationalised bank as director of Rural Self employment training institutes sponsored by the bank..In addition to other eligibility criterias only those were eligible for appointment who were below 65 years of age..Appointment were on contract for 12months to be further extended as per extant policy of the bank.Bank did not disclose either in the post advertisement or in appointment letter or at any point of time about the upper age limit till when an individual director would be eligible for further renewal/extension of contract. So I was in notion that extension in contract would be allowed on basis of performance even beyond the age of 65 yrs. After 6 months of appointment i was selected for process of recruitment in Govt of Bihar in which I could not appear as decided to continue the current assignment. After 12 months bank declined renewal of my contract as I was over 65 yrs age on date of completion of contract..Had I been aware of such condition in advance I would have prefered the job in Bihar govt. Is the bank responsible for theLoss caused to me due non disclosure of criteria of age for renewal of contract .Should I approach for legal relief before High court ? Urgent advice solicited.
