Difference between apprentice, labour and manager

As far as a shops and commercial establishment is concerned, what is the legal difference between an apprentice, a labour , salesman and a manager ?
Are there saperate laws which govern the type of employee's levels  ?
Is there a period after which an apprentice automatically becomes employee ?
Thanks !

Apprentice Trainee is an individual who is receiving stipend from the government and company they are into. Apprenticeship Training is a fixed a term contract, usually for one year. After that government stipend will not be available and company can continue availing his/her service if they wish to. Also, an individual who underwent apprenticeship training from one firm cannot go for the same in another company benefiting the stipend. There is an Apprenticeship Act

Trainee employee is the one employed by the company after the completion of training period he/she will be absorbed if things are going normal. He is receiving salary as per the company policy.
