Desertion

Dear Experts,

I believe that the mandatory period to file for divorce under DESERTION is two years. Is there any new amendment in the law, reducing the period to one year? If so, request to share. Thanks

Separation (1 year waiting period) An absolute divorce

on the ground of separation requires that the parties

live separate and apart in separate residences without

any s*xual intimacy with each other for a period of one year 12 months and that

the marriage be beyond any reasonable hope of reconciliation

@Ramachary64, I filled my divorce petition under 13B before two years, reply submitted but so far issues not raised. Meditation done twice but failed (once under DV and once under divorce. So technically I am living saperatly since more than two years.

Is the rule applicable on my case. How can I go ahead with this. Thanks in advance.
