can I refuse summons issued by police

i am taluk executive magistrate.
i have been summoned for a vigilance case under sec 160 and 91 crpc as witness. can I deny or refuse to attend The enquiry called by police is their any provisions in crpc

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether a Taluk Executive Magistrate can refuse a summons issued by the police under Sections 160 and 91 of the CRPC, where they are called as a witness in a vigilance case. While the CRPC outlines procedures for court summons, refusing a police summons can lead to further legal action, including bailable and arrest warrants, and potentially charges for abandoning proceedings.
