AMMENDMENT IN GRATUITY ACT

Gratuity limit enhanced:Gratuity cap has been raised to Rs 10.00 lakhs from the present Rs 3.5 lakhs – a cool jump of approximately 300 percent!

 Payment of Gratuity is welfare legislation and the limitations / cealings to the maximum amount are not proper and the Governement of India should have to take step to remove such cealing or puting any limits but it has to be computable according to the farmula as aleady exists .

pl.provide the information on Income tax for enhanced Gratuity of Rs.10 lakhs

Tks 4 ur sharing such an important information on Gratuity. I think govt dept has implemented this hike in ceiling of gratuity from 3.5lacs to 10 lacs, if this being the position then dis proposal will definitely be through.
