I'm purchasing a Agri land near Bangalore in the name of my wife. My wife is from agriculture background but from Tamil Nadu(Hosur) not from Karnataka.
Can one buy a agriculture land in karnataka if he/she has a agriculture land in other states ?
I read a article in below link that outsiders(Non Karnataka) cannot purchase a agri land in karnataka even they are from agriculture background.

Karnataka and Gujarat also restrict ownership of agriculture land to State-based agriculturists. But in Maharashtra, owning an agricultural plot anywhere in the country entitles you to buy land"
Please clarify if we can purchase the land in karnataka based on the Hosur (Tamil Nadu) documents.
