Land to tiller act

Hi This question is regarding Govt of India's Land to tiller act (Kul Kayada)

My forefathers were tilling the land from long period before independance, of the person who was well educated one. Records for the tenancy are availble from 1938.

But just before the Govt made land reform act, person sold the land to my forefathers with limited period purchase agreement (mudat kharedi khat) in around 1955.

My question is that --  is this law (Kul Kayada) applicable even after the completion of period of purchase agreement (Mudat kharedi Khat). What need to be done to own this land now under this act?

The scenario is that my fore fathers were iliterate & person who was the owner was educated one. Looking at govt's intention of making this law, person sold this land with limited period purchase agreement (mudat kharedi khat) so that he could escape from the law & could claim  the land after competion of period in purchase agreement. being iliterate my forefathers could not understand this even thould my forefather was tenent to the land since 1938.

What can be done to get justice in this situation? please suggest.
