I need some advise, I had recently paid Rs 50,000 via Cheque against a Flat booking and have a reciept of paid amount ( without any Rs 1 stamp) .The above amount was to be adjusted against the payment for the flat. I remember signing a form but was not given a copy by the builder, I have now decided to cancel that booking and not proceed with the purchase of the flat . How much can a builder deduct legally againts this cancellation ? Can I dispute the amount and get a complete refund. What is the process and usually what kind of a time frame and expenses do I incur in this regard if filing a case.
Some urgent advise will be much appreciated
