switching of Advocate

During pendency of court case, my Advocate has agreed upon to become legal advisor - cum-standing advocate of respondent company in other cases.
Should I leave that advocate who has otherwise promised me to get my dues from respondent out of court in due course but I doubt his integrity.
what appropriate action be taken to safeguard my interests.

In your case, if your advocate has accepted an engagement as a legal advisor-cum-standing counsel for the respondent, despite your case against the company is still pending and he if he has promised you to settle your dues out of the court, then it creates a conflit of interest under the professional ethics and according to the Indian law and Bar Council of India. It is unprofessional and unethical for an advocate to engage with the respondent while appearing for the petitioner. Since you already doubt his integrity you have to safeguard you interest first.

The best you can do is :- Secure and retain back your original documents, promises and agreements and stop sharing further confidential information ,You may ask for NOC and seek independent legal advocate advice, if your advocate did not give you  NOC, then you may lodge the complaint with the Bar Council of your state and lastly appoint a formal new counsel who is free from conflicting obligations.
