selling of medicine at higher price

can a company sells it's medicine on extremely higher price because no other companies have formula of this medicine ???

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether a company can legally sell a unique medicine at an extremely high price if they hold the sole formula. The consensus is that this could be considered an unfair trade practice and monopolistic behaviour. Consumers who have evidence of such price gouging may be able to challenge it through the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, as it may fall under unfair trade practices and deficiency in service, especially concerning the current pandemic.

No, it tentamount to unfair trade practices and monopolistic policy of the sellers which has to be challenged in jurisdictional Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission with relevant evidence(s) through a local prudent lawyer.

If you have cogent evidence  that company has sold  the medicine on higher rate/price than you can approach Consume Commission as act of company comes under purview ofnot only unfare trade practice but  also deficiency in their services.
