Rti act?

Can we apply under RTI Act, 2005, by a typed matter application? Or should it be in hand writing? And Aadhar is enough of proving nationality supportive document?

it can be sent by handwritten or typed manner. there is no parameter for it .Now aadhaar is most validity proof than any other.

Any Indian citizen without any minimum and maximum age limit can submit a request for information under RTI Act from any Public Authority (government organization or government-aided organization) through an Application that can be handwritten or typed. Application should be submit in English, Hindi or any other state languages. One can also refer to the public information officer to write the application. Provide following information in your application: Name and office address of Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO)/Public Information Officer (PIO) Subject Particular of information you want from public authority Applicant Name Father’s/Husband’s Name Category- SC/ST/OBC Application Fee Are you come under BPL family- Yes/No, Postal address with mobile No and e-mail ID (Mobile No and e-mail ID is not mandatory) Date and place Applicant signature List of enclosures Aadhaar would be sufficient as proof of nationality. For your additional information, Central Information Commission has also held that denial of information for the lack of a Aadhaar card is a serious breach of rights guaranteed under the RTI Act and amounts to harassment of the applicant. So one can file an RTI application even without aadhaar. Hope this helps Regards

The application may be typed or neatly hand-written. The application may preferably be in writing though an e-mail is accepted as a mode as per law. In case an applicant has difficulty in writing the application, he can verbally request the PIO or the APIO who are duty bound to put the request in writing.

Yes, you can use your Aadhar card to prove natioanlity.
