Resignation as treasurer from a society

I have resigned as a treasurer from a society in the month of August 2017. However, the management (President & secretary) have not removed my name as Treasurer from society's MOA. Also not Society's members are aware of my resignation. Do I need to inform any government authority about my resignation?

Give details. In which State, city and what kind of Society is it?  Is it a housing society? Is it a co-operative society? If not give complete details.
