Release deed

My grandfather brother make release deed after 20 years of his marriage at 1958 now he have two daughters 1 is expired and her sons are asking for property. The release deed is registered. Is there any rights there in our property. They put dhava on me. Please guide about this
In release deed his wife and daughters not signed

Quick Summary
A registered release deed, executed by your grandfather's brother, may impact your property rights, especially if he had a share in the property. The validity of the deed depends on whether the property was self-acquired or ancestral. Signatures from his wife and daughters were not required for him to relinquish his share. You may be able to contest the case, potentially using the Tenancy Act 1973.

You can contest the case. A deed of release refers to a legal document that eliminates a claim previously made on an asset. ... The deed may be included when a homeowner receives the title of a property from the lender upon satisfactory completion of mortgage payments. The goal of a deed of release is to release the parties from past obligations.

Hello,

Your grandfather brother can execute release deed if property is self acquired. If property is ancestral in that case your grandfather cannot execute release deed.

If your grand father brother had right and share in property then he had every right to relinquish his share, signature of his wife and daughter was not required for that.
