Hi
We had executed a sale deed for selling a piece of land. The was an error in the agreement value mentioned. The stamp duty was paid on the market value. But the actual agreement value is different from the market value. Can a rectification deed be executed to fix the agreement value.
regards
Ramesh

Always registrar office accepts values as decided by the government under market value; that every one does;
tax laws are not prudent in allowing the extra moneys one gets as a real source of income but once you declare and pay the tax then they are bound to allow, as u proved you did not suffer mens rea.
without mens rea - guilty mind - if any act is done it is an excusable error only and not a punishable error!
