Pdc ( post dated cheque) acceptance rules

Can a bank accept a PDC before a date mentioned on it?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the rules surrounding the acceptance of post-dated cheques (PDCs) by banks. While historically banks might have accepted them, current practice and the rise of electronic payment systems like ECS have made this less common. The consensus suggests banks generally cannot accept a PDC before its stated date, though specific exceptions might exist for financing arrangements.

Yes, Bank can accept. However now with the advent of ECS this has become redundant.

NO, a bank can not accept a post dated cheque and no bank will.
