My grand fathers Gold kept on my locker

My grand father s gold (20 grams) kept in my bank locker
After his death will it become mine or should I accept it in form of will or gift deed?

Please some one explain me in clear?

Quick Summary
You're seeking clarity on whether 20 grams of your grandfather's gold, stored in your bank locker, automatically becomes yours after his passing. Experts advise that simply keeping it in your locker doesn't grant you ownership. Without a will, gift deed, or other legal documentation, all legal heirs have equal rights to the gold. If your grandfather is still alive and wishes to gift it to you, a registered gift deed is the recommended legal route.

For safety measures, he kept it in your bank locker.  But you have no right over the gold. As he died all legal heirs have equal rights over it.

Get a gift deed, and make sure you register it as well.

Gift deed is okay!

Still he is alive then pray for his life to live more days.  It is kept in your locker only  it not means it is gifted to you.
