First there is no camera recordings etc
The process of mediation is to bring amicaable settlement between both parties
The success depends upon how both parties want to do the negociations (money etc etc) and the mediator plays imp role in it

Mediation is not a court proceedings. There wont be any camera recordings. There will joint session and private session. So question of manipulating does not arise. You have to keep faith.
