Meaning of 'spinster' in legal term

like to know whether ' SPINSTER ' used to defy particular pecularities in woman in court of law or for every woman.

learned one of seniors told me meaning of ' SPINSTER ' as
" A spinster, or old maid, is an older, childless woman who has never been married. A "spinster" is not simply a "single" woman, but a woman who has not formed a human pair bond by the time she is approaching or has reached menopause and the end of her reproductive lifespan. "

1. According to Black's Law Dictionary a spinster is a woman who has never been married. This was clearly the usage in then colonial State of Virginia (USA) and with this I am taking you back to 1670 AD when the word was first used in reference to then legal case.

2. In reference to India it was first used in 1869 AD when Indian Divorce Act came into being.

3. Metro days of contemporary India under Bharat Ratna DV Act ‘spinster’ word was used for the first time this month of 2013 in a Mumbai HC Judgment quashing a spinster sister’s complaint case filed under DV Act against all her brothers. The Mumbai HC Bench observed looking at produced ration card that; "the spinster sister could not establish 'domestic relationship' with her two brothers, prima facie case is made out to quash the complaint under the DV Act itself, the process issued by the magistrate would be required to be stayed"
