Hi,
I recently got married in a sub-registrar office in Chennai.
We approached them through a broker. We had given proper documents and have received our marriage certificate also.
Few of our friends tell that register marriage approached through brokers is not valid and they would probably have faked our certificate and the certificate we obtained might not be valid. Plz let me know how could we check the originality of the certificate we obtained.

At first you should know that marriage can not be solomenized before registrar. It can only be registered there.
How so ever it was done, genuineness of marriage certificate can be checked through asking the copy of crtificate with requisit fee from registrar office. or through checking the record.

have you noticed the register, after notice period, went to the marriage register's office alongwith two witness and infront of registrar, you both the spouses and the two witness signed in the form and his register?
i hope that you have got the components of a valid marriage.
