I have an apartment in the 3rd floor. I have given it for rent. In the flat just below my flat (2nd Floor), there occurred plumbing problem in kitchen side balcony. I got it repaired twice in 2 years. Recently I did it in Feb,2016. Again the problem occurred twice with 2-3 months span & without intimating me 2nd floor flat owners got it repaired and claiming for the charges. Later my tenant informed.
Following are points that will give you more information:
- 2nd floor owners had problem with my drain pipe from kitchen balcony. They had leakage in their ceiling.
- Simultaneously, we also had leakage problem in kitchen wall which was not detected before. They said they got 2 things repaired for Rs. 4000/- in July-August 2016.
- But for their problem, I got it repaired in Feb 2016 & paid Rs. 1600/- along with replacing new pipes & other necessary material.
- Now they are saying that there was problem with that material I purchased last time for which neither the seller nor the plumber is responsible. So they again bought new material & replaced it.
- I said, then last time’s my efforts & my money is wasted, so I will pay half the amount (Rs. 2000/-).
- My concern is they neither informed me nor took my views about the problem, did all by themselves & finally claiming for the charges.
