1)My Friend and his wife are ready to take divorce.
Wife of my friend is self earning(Govt.Employee) person and she demands maintenance to her son upto 25 years age of the son .
Is it compulsory payment of maintenance upto 25 years age of the son?
2)What is the future situation if this maintenance matter is settled in lok adalat?

If your friend wants to avoid payment of maintenance, he can as well seek the custody of the minor child.
