Maintainence time frame

My wife has filed a maintainence on me for Rs 90000. Rs 60000 for my daughter and Rs 30000 for her.Its been 3 years of our marriage and i asked her to leave my home fed up of various tension. She has also filed DV and 498 a against me and my family court.

I would let the forum know that i first filed for divorce on the grounds of cruelty and later she filed all the cases above.

How long can i drag the maintainence case against my wife in the family court the counselling is over and the matter is with the judge now.

Please help.

Even if you drag it, the court may award interim maintainance and you will have to pay so the purpose of dragging may not serve you. Better if you act as per the need of the situation and be prepared to contest the main petition on merit.
