Legal implications of sharing a hotel room with a girl

If a married man spends a few days with an unmarried girl in a hotel room, is there anything illegal? Can police take them into custody? If yes, what if both of them takes a stand that they stayed together as friends and there was no s*x between them.

well the question regarding the above post is ...

APART FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT, as per Indian culture, is it etical ?

1. The same que. was discussed 9 + months ago by Democratic Indian or someone similar having good command over Constitution law here if my memory serves me correct.

2.
It is illegal for you first of all being married to do such acts of omission / commission and then saying no s*x but simply were looking at each other's eyes under candle light all these days in a locked hotel room.  generic Indian psyche starts and end with these three letters especially in Hotel rooms when wife is left back at home or is at her natal home........

3.
Second part is that one of you will easily CRACK the moment police grills both of you separately and then bingo ........ rounds of embarrassing public parades / visits rto Govt. Hospital for lab. tests will be tough for you to explain to your wife / society (it is obvious someone you will call for help if there is a raid) that you keep and or if she (wife) gets wind of it via her khabaris the cases she filed / resisting all these days gets proved in one freak shot with embarrassing (not proved later) penal offence.

4.
It is police excesses as per unspoken police Law clamped upon Service Establishment under raid if extensive grilling in typical Jaat language police resorts to on either of you and the Management of the Hotel and in India FIRST anything is possible then question the Law comes.

Forget your fundamental Rights under Art. 21 COI it will be dealt with later and typical Indian police excesses later questioned by you will also come much latter. The immediate damage to your social reputation if there is a raid or under enmity is gone for a toss meanwhile.

Better beg mercy to your wife and ask for your freedom by paying price set by her (i.e seek divorce) and then do carefully what pleases your senses in delusion of freedom.

PS.: You is generic here.

Police action would depend on various factors. You would be acquitted if nothing is proved.

There is no illegality in the eyes of law in your given case, provided you don't kidnap her or coercing her to stay in the hotel or molested her or s*ually abused her or rape her or has done anything wrong with the girl which is uncoming of a matured married man. You and the girl may have some compelling circumstances to stay together in a hotel for a few days to which you should be able to answer if questioned by any member of your or girl's family or by police or any other authority. But if you don't have any compelling circumstances to stay together in a hotel, even though you have not committed any of the offences as above, it is ethically wrong as no normal, self conscious, sound-minded married person can stay with an un-married girl in a hotel without any compelling circumstance.

Looks like it already happened. Else from next time take two rooms on same floor. One on Boy's name and second on Girl. After check-in stay wherever you want. No Social and No Legal obligation. Yes a bit expensive but safe

You sound like you need help in more ways than one. Divorce your wife first, then marry the other gilr. This will void any problems you may have or had.

India's ethics ( I assume you mean moral ethics), these don't mean a hill of beans to people, they will do as they choose regardless of the so-called moral social stigmas. Period..
