Lease documents

Dear All,

Please guide me in this matter:

A Lease agreement has been executed between 2 parties for a period of 3 years about 2 months ago. Registration of the deed has also been done by paying registration fees and stamp duty. Now the Lessee wants to terminate the lease. What is the procedure to follow in this regard?

Shall the parties have to execute a Termination Agreement and then again has to undergo the process of registration for the termination agreement. Please guide me.

Regards

Arijit

If the lessee want to terminate the lease, then again as you said termination agreement will have to get it registered. If it is not registered then automatically lease will show in EC. Lessee has to do Cancellation Of Lease through registered..

Thanks..Yes the Lease has been registered and hence I guess we have to enter into a termination agreement and then have to get this termination agreement registered with Registrar of assurances.

I suggest to you check the agreement regards the lease period and then you go for termination of lease.
