Judicial exams eligibility after named in fir..

my dear learned friends,

 

my one friend who is a fresh law graduate and practising in court, unfortunately dragged in a criminal case (sec. 379etc.). I want to know  Is he eligible for Judicial Services Exams.

Yes he is eligible for appearing in judicial examination, but if during the submissin of form ask for any information as regard pending of any criminal against him he will have to truly state the same. A person is not guity untill he is convicted by a legally competent court. After all 397 is made bailable after the new ammendment and it is not a heinous crime.

Thanks for reply sir, but i have only doubt that during interview session of  Judicial services can they reject the candidate on this ground and one more thing i have to clearfy that my colleague is named in FIR u/s 379 and other allied sections...

A person accused in criminal case can be  (rather will be) denied appointment even if he has cleared interview and selected for the post.
