I live in Mumbai and I have a tenanted building of which my family is a coowner. There is one very bad tenant and we been avoiding skirmishes with him. He does not pay any rent . Then he drinks in open. Abuses others. Now his son has taken a car and illegally parking inside our building and parks it anywhere he likes. As per Mumbai / Maharashtra rent act what is a lawful remedy?

parking of car is the right of the tennant till evicted.
for eviction you need to file civil suit as he is not paying rent.

you have to start eviction case befor ebecoming too late.

1. In mumbai, a anonymous complaint can be made on police control room phone no. 100, and make a complaint about alcohol drinking, threatening, abusing about this alcoholic person. This will take care of some problems.
