I am currently having a 30/40 plot in my name and want my wife to be co-owner (joint owner) of the land, can you kindly advice if i can gift this to her? also the original document i have will that be called as mother deed ?

it is not possible but you may execute a gift deed in favour of your wife for a half share or whatever you think to give her. it is for information only
