House owner not giving full deposit back

Hi All,

I was staying in rented apartment in Pune. After vacating apartment, owner is not giving deposit back. Please suggest what action can I take against the owner.

If vacating is per the terms of the Lease Deed :

1) Serve a legal notice first.

2) If no result, file a suit for recovery in the Court.

If the Debt is acknowledged clearly in the Agreement / later , perhaps a Summary Suit ( Order XXXVII , CPC ) may bring you faster relief.
