Respected seniors plz suggest- whether compounding of offence amounts to admission ?
Accused was carrying wine through his vehicle. He was arrested under Sec 60 of U.P.Excise Act and vehicle was seized under Sec 72. he compounded the offence under Sec 72 and deposited Rs 50000/- in DM office.
Whether it amounts to admission of offence ?
One more confusion is that once offence has been compounded, whether chargesheet against accused is permissible ?

Both the things are mixed up.It is admission and has been let off with fine or otherwise.
