Grand children right on grand fasther's property

Dear sir/ madam, 

                                 I want to know what is the right on property  of  Grand children on the property of Grand father, bought a property in 1978 and didnt do a will when he passed away. He had four sons and a daughter and 10 grandchildren? Any suggestion/answers would be greatly appreciated.

under the schedule I the wife woould be the property holder with the childeren and if the wife died then under schedule II the son and daughter are legal hairs of the property if and only any son/daughter died then only his/her son were be the property sharer.

Hi Manish,

Since this is your grandfather's self- acquired property and he passed away without a will, all his childern, his wife and mother will succeed simultaneously as class1 heirs.

But sons inherit his as ancestral property or absolute depending on their circumstance whereas daughters always inherit as absolute owners. So in the hands of a son of the deceased, who has a child on the date your grand father died, it will be ancestral property. If a son has no child on the date of your grandfather's death, it will be his absolute property
