in general, when it comes to hiring a lawyer in chennai, how is the fee decided.
recently, last year, i hired a lawyer for one of the land encroahment case where governmen had decided to taken over my land and so i wanted to put a stay on it.
the lawyer advised that is requires some filing of WRIT and so asked me Rs 15,000.
so, is this a reasonable amount.
how do we generaly decided what is the reasonable fee for a given case...is there any pricing standards setup by the law assoication.
