The object of this act is to protect women from domestic violence. No discrimination on financial status of women. To avail the a remady under this act applicant must be a woman.

I have a doubt. Mr. Law Juris Mumbai, has told us that

"A married educated woman belongs from educated well settled family, can harras the husband? "

So, I want to know whether he is trying to ask,  if any husband can file a case under DV Act against his wife, or, can an educated woman can be harrased ...   :/  As reagrds the issue of who cna be the 'complainant' , Mr Rajesh has already replied.
