If there is no specific allegation against father-in-law, he can move high court for quash.

Discharge can also be sought for u/s 245 of Cr.P.C.

Dear Gagan, If there is no specific allegation against father in law then you should go for discharge u/s 239 or 245 of cr.pc.also you can move to highcourt u/s 482 of cr.pc for quashing or discharge.

if you are realy know about the alligation that these alligation is not specific then you can file a quashing petition before high court u/a 226/227 read with section 482 Crpc and if you dont want to go HC then filed an application before the trial court u/s 239/245 as case may be and prove your side if the court think fit then the court may discharged.
