Wakf Board properties cannot be registered unless the seller shall obtain permission to sell the property from the Wakf Board authorities.  You can obtain this information from the local Wakf board or if you know the Survey number and details of the property, apply for an EC for 40 or 50 years.

Inspect property records with area authorities concerned and/or Waqf Board.

To identify whether land documents are Waqf Board or original registered documents, follow these steps: Waqf Board Documents: 1. _Check the title_: Look for the words "Waqf" or "Auqaf" in the document's title. 2. _Verify the issuer_: Ensure the document is issued by the Waqf Board or a similar authority. 3. _Examine the purpose_: Waqf documents often relate to charitable or religious purposes. 4. _Check for a seal or stamp_: Waqf Board documents typically bear a distinct seal or stamp. Original Registered Documents: 1. _Verify the registration_: Check if the document is registered with the relevant authorities (e.g., Sub-Registrar's office). 2. _Check the document number_: Original registered documents usually have a unique document number. 3. _Examine the language_: Original documents are often in the local language or English. 4. _Look for signatures and thumb impressions_: Original documents typically bear signatures and thumb impressions of the parties involved. Additional Tips: - _Consult a lawyer_: If unsure, consult a lawyer specializing in property or Waqf law. - _Verify with authorities_: Check with the Waqf Board or registration authorities to confirm the document's authenticity. - _Obtain a certified copy_: Get a certified copy of the document from the relevant authorities to ensure its legitimacy. Remember, it's essential to exercise due diligence when dealing with land documents to avoid any potential legal issues.
