Credit card non-payment - award passed - appeal time

Hi, For the non-payment of SBI credit dues, I received a notice from sole arbitrator that the award was passed for such and such amount with the date of DEC 05 2023, I received the notice to my residential address signing and ackowledging it on FEB 05 2024. The appeal date is calculated from the date the award was passed or when I signed and received the notice ?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the appeal period for a credit card non-payment award. The user received an award notice for SBI credit dues and was unsure if the appeal time started from the award date (December 5, 2023) or the date they acknowledged receiving the notice (February 5, 2024). The consensus is that the appeal period typically starts from the date the notice is acknowledged, which in this case would be February 5, 2024.

The computation period for preferring appeal will be from the date of passing of the orders.

The appeal date is calculated from the date you signed and received the notice, which was on February 5th, 2024.  since you acknowledged the notice on February 5, 2024, that would likely be the starting point for calculating the appeal period. In most cases SBI considers the acknowledgement date as the starting point for the appeal period.
