When you take decisiion to marry u just cant think about 2 of u, but for entire next generation.  Keep that in mind.  For your mistakes someone else should not suffer, that too unborn child will suffer life long and their children too.. and so forth.

For Indian Christians although the Marriage Act is the Indian Christian Marriage Act,1872 that as such nowhere provides about the marriage between the parties within the Prohibited degree of Consanguinity (whether natural or legal) or affinity; however the Divorce Act,1869 provides in section 18 Petition for decree of nullity : Any husband or wife may present a petition to the District Court praying that his or her marriage may be declared null and void. Section 19 provides Grounds of decree :  Such decree may be on any of the following grounds :- Sub Section (2) that the parties are within the prohibited degree of consanguinity (whether natural or legal) or affinity.

What one may conclude from this that although there is no bar for the persons within the prohibited degree of consanguinity (whether natural or legal) or affinity to marry according to Christian form of marriage, but they are free to get the marriage declared null and void by decree of nullity through the district court.

The Court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 although clearly prohibits such marriage between parties who are within degrees of prohibited relationship under section 4 (d), so no question of court marriage under the SMA.

The Bible does not prohibit marriage between cousins. In fact, the Old Testament looks favorably on cousin marriages. However, some churches, such as the Roman Catholic Church, have guidelines against marriages to close relatives.

In the Catholic Church, first cousins can marry if the diocesan bishop grants an appropriate dispensation. The church's position is that two first cousins are forbidden to marry only by ecclesiastical law, not by divine law.

In our country customs as to marriage have varied from region to region, and they have recognised as valid marriages which are not in accordance with strict rules of law.

In fact marriage is a bilateral affair, and it is only a custom which binds both the parties that could be recognised.

There is a proposal in the new law about the  prohibitive relations that these relations should be taken out of the lists, or, in the alternative, provision should be made for the grant of dispensation by the appropriate authorities of the Catholic Church.
