Land Acquisition Act

Is Govt. is allowed to acquire land t for using the land for temples,ashrams and muths? Which does not lie in the purview of public purpose.

No. The Govt can only acquire lands for the sake of "public purpose". If it does, then it has to give explanation for the acquisition to prove 'public purpose'.

public purpose has wide explanations.  So the temple, and mutts may come under this purview

No, temples, muths doesnot come under the purview of Public purpose. the government acquired the land for temple and muths.
