Cash to be deposited in bank

A NON TAX PAYER SENIOR CITIZEN HAS GOT CASH FOR SELLING PROPRTY. HE DOESN'T DEPOSIT IN ANY BANK. AFTER FIVE YEARS HE PURCHASES PROPER OR GIVE TO SON AS A GIFT.

IS HE ENTITLED TO PAY ANY TAX ?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the tax implications for a non-taxpaying senior citizen who received cash from a property sale and did not deposit it. The core issue is whether tax is due when this cash is later used for purchases or gifted to a son. The advice suggests that undeclared income may need to be declared upon reinvestment or gifting, or tax could be paid at that point. Consulting a tax advisor is recommended for specific guidance.

If he had not showed this amount anywhere nor he had filed tax returns for this amount anytime then he may have to show the source of income while reinvesting or transferring it as gift to his son also, alternately he can pay taxes for that amount at that time.
