Associate membership of a co-op. housing society

Sir, Our society admitted large number of persons as Associate members to make mandatory quorum of 75% attendance for Redevelopment meeting with the consent of the original members(this arrangement was done  because the  original members were unable to attend that meeting), the  names of  the  temporarily admitted persons who have no right title and interest in the property, were incorporated in the share certificates and resigned from the associate membership once the redevelopment resolutions are passed. The meeting was held in March 2014. Please give an expert opinion about legality and illegality with consequences. The Society is in Mumbai bound by the MCS Act 1960, Rules 1961 and the Bye-laws. Regards, P. J. Pillai
