Ancestral property for daughters born before 1956

5 Acres of land is in my grandmother’s name. This was bought in 1951 by my Granfather to her. She passed away in 2001. She had 6 children. Four of them are daughters and two are sons. The first two daughters are also no more. My father is the elder son and he has a younger sister and a younger brother. Now the heirs of the deceased daughters are asking for the share in the property. All the daughters were born before 1956. Can the heirs of the deceased daughters claim the property share?

Dear,

As per the Hindu Succession Act, they can claim only their mother's or father's share and nothing more.
