Ancestral property

Hi, I am 49 years old, my father died in 2014, and i have an elder brother who has died in 2007, and my brother has two children(married Son and married daughter ), now they are asking my mother to share my fathers property to them (i.e 1 share to me and 1 share to my brother's son and 1 share to brother's daughter), is there any law like this to share if Father dies, grandfathers property can share between them before his father got the property.
