Adlat settling Crl Appeal 138 NI ACT

Can a criminal appeal U/s 138 NI Act be settled through lok Adalat / mediation agreeing to pay the cheque amount in monthly instalments over a period of 1 year, then what about the sentence of imprisonment granted by lower court, whether appeal is to be allowed in Adalat Award, what is the remedy in case of deault in repayment any clause to have criminal remedy

It is compoundable offence it can be compromised in the court only.  Now a days courts are not interested to conduct the case they want to settle the case for the benefit of the clients and to cut the number of pending cases

In view of the compromise appeal will be allowed and lower courtorder will be set aside.

I'm agree with adv Rajeev........ now a days courts are not interested it trial for these kinds of cases.
