From the questions you have put i have a doubt...  Whom did you refer as a "lawyer?"  I mean to ask the one who just completed LLB but not practicing or the one who is practicing, as a lawyer?

And regarding your doubts:

1. A practicing lawyer can send legal notices on behalf of others.

2. A practicing lawyer can file cases on behalf of others after obtaining due 'vakalat'.

3. A lawyer is the one who registered himself with Bar Association and do not 'work' for salary under employment - If a qualified person is working for salary then he is only a legal advisor for the company or his employer - such a person cannot represent directly in the courts of law.

You described yourself as 'student' - you are student of law,, or medicine or.. or.. plz explain.
