company law

My Query is , as per LLP Act & Company act, who can become a designate partner/director  of a firm .
Are a government employee working on contract permitted to be designate director/partner

Please reply with relevant provisions of act

A government employee cannot be considered to be a government employee if he is stated to work on a contract basis.  He is not at all an employee, it is just a temporary arrangement.  However,it may not be permitted to become a partner or a director of the firm which is dealing with the same business wherein he is presently employed on a contract basis.
