Sorry to say Kolkata courts are still living in medieval period. I visit Kolkata for attending cases for my client both at Alipore District Court as well Calcutta High Court and to promise that at district court level for trail purposes the fast trail will be possible will be wrong. What really surprised me the condition in which the case files are scattered all around in the courtrooms I can say after 5-7 years there is hardly any complete paper left in the case file. Although Bengalis are proud of their culture, education and Kolkata but the experience I got there shows that still Kolkata is living in 18th century.
