498a case travel expenses

Dear experts,

In my cousin case which is in evidence phase complainant is not showing up from last 8 dates, I told my cousin to ask for cost to judge as he has to travel 400 kms to reach to court is it possible by showing travel tickets.

oky in his case his lawyer asked for nbw on complainant and judge issued nbw on complainant.. little fishy game played by his lawyers to drag the case

An accused cannot claim travel expenses pending trial. However , compensation may be claimed on acquittal.

The querist has stated non-appearance of complainant.  The complaint in a criminal trial is always a witness and not accused.
