Enforcing disputed resolution while under inquiry by registrar of societies

We are a owners welfare association registered under TN societies act 1975. Pre -approval to splitting under 30(2) obtained from district Registrar un May 2025. The special general body resolutions violates societies act, association 's bye-laws and prior GB resolution. The same was highlighted to the Registrar and an inquiry has been ordered into resolutions by them on 12/8/2025. Affected members with a copy of registrar 's order have requested the association to stay implementation of disputed resolution till outcome of the inquiry. If the association continues to disregard Registrar's order to inquiry what do we, the affected members of association do?

Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Ramachandran

If the society is not abiding by the registrar's oders, then you may have to approach cooperative court with a suit for permanent injunction against the society in this regard.

To my knowledge, the querist has been repeating this issue ad infinitum.

As I found there is no such provision under Societies Registration Act, 1860 where a person/ member / office bearer can be prosecuted for non-compliance of an order passed by Registrar of Firms and Societies.

Please correct me, if it is not so.
