A Mosque in Dindigul having a Muslim Population of 3000 Muslims livng around, is under a old scheme approved by the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board to elect 33 members to the Managing Committee. After the due process of election of 33 members to the Managing Committee, this committee is functioing without a proper team of office bearers. Rather it is run by a panel of five members with no objection by any body else. . The Bank Account is operated by a committee of three people out of this panel.
Is it not proper to have a formal team of office bearers, and to operate the Bank Account jointly by the President / Secretary and the Treasurer ? Can this old practice of no objection by any body else entitles the panel of five members to administer the Mosque and permit them to operate the Bank Account without designated positions ? Is it mandatory to have a duly elected five , seven or nine members as team of office bearers out of the 33 members to run the Mosque ?
