one of my friend made delay to file application before S.D.O for objection on mutation entry the application is rejected the delay is more than 7 yr.Any idea about what is the maximum period for delay condonation.

There is no maximum period for delay condonation. It depends on fact situation of each case.
Better challenge this order in court.
In general 7 years delay is difficult to be condoned.

Why do you want to get the delay condoned now i.e., after 7 years of decision?

EVEN A DAY DELAY MADE WITHOUT REASONABLE CAUSE CAN LEGALLY BE REFUSED TO BE CONDONED AND DECADES DELAY WELL FOUNDED TO REASON CAN BE CONDONED IF EACH DAY DELAY IS ATTACHED TO A WELL FOUNDED REASON.
ANY WAY NOW YOUR FRIEND SHOULD FILE A TITLE SUIT FOR HIS RIGHTS FORTHWITH.

I agree with the views of expert Mr.Prabhakar Singh on the subject query. In case of rejection of objection due to delay for the same,the relief can be had through a court of law for proper reliefs thereon.

the brief fact of this case are the following
1-applicant is widow and illiterate padashin women.
2-after the death of her husband her in laws made mutation entry and transfer 4 h land out of 6 h on own name.
3-that land is ancestral but husband of applicant husband get this land by the way of family partition in year 1996.
4-the applicant file application before S.D.O and such application rejected because of delay con-donation.
5-the possession of whole 6 hector with applicant.

Move an appeal before DC/DM for setting aside the mutation order.
Advise the lady to remain in possession, which will be very crucial at the time of delivery of justice.
Delay can be condoned if you are able to justify/ satisfy appellete authority.

The limitation to get entered mutation is 12 years which even is extendable in genuine cases so file an appeal before collector.
