Local laws apply to the subject matter, it is better to consult a local prudent lawyer (practicing revenue matters) for proper advise.

Yes.  To my known best, a major son can get roughly 6 hectares.

Under the Uttar Pradesh Imposition of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1960 (as amended), there is a statutory ceiling limit on the amount of agricultural land an individual or household can hold is about or up to 12.5 of agricultural land for an individual or family unit in common situations.

Land that is non-agricultural (residential, commercial, industrial) does not fall under the same ceiling rules as agricultural land under the Ceilings Act.

There is no similar statutory floor area ceiling for non-agricultural land under the UP Imposition of Ceiling Act itself.

Conversion of land from agricultural to non-agricultural use (e.g., residential/industrial) under Section 80 of the UP Revenue Code changes the land use classification, but does not automatically remove that land from consideration under the ceiling law for agricultural holdings, unless it is officially exempted by appropriate authorities or falls under specific exemptions in the Ceiling Act.
